Week 20

Lots going on inside and outside this week.
The new electrical pole was finished and
all electrical (Lord willing we will see
after the inspection) is done.
The electrical lines going from the new pole
to the the house have been run and burried
underground.
I now have 8 of these surrounding the outside of the house.
So with the flip of a switch my yard will now be lit up like
a stadium (as per the request of my uncle and father:)
The perimeter wall is being rough casted.
The drain (to carry water away from the house)
has been started.
They are pouring a little slab where a gate
in the fence will go so there is a connection
to the bible college next door to us.

Inside they are working on the ceilings and the floors.
the dining room ceiling is finished.
Neiah's room sanded down and sealed.
The master bedroom ceiling sanded and sealed.
The tile was delivered this week
The floors 'chopped' up so the thin set will stick when the new
tile is laid.
the new tile starting to be laid!

Another week closer to being done.
Continued prayers appreciated.
Thanks!

Week 19

Praise Jesus! The rest of the ceilings went up this week.
They have been holding us up in all the things we needed
to do.
we had a different kind of wood for the garage, porch, and a few
rooms in the house. They wood they brought a few weeks ago
was covered in mildew so they had to get fresh wood and wait
for it to dry out, before they could hang it.
The inside of the house is all primed.
 ceiling now in Neiah's room
 bathroom
 nursery
the eaves outside have been primed, all the holes caulked closed,
and painted with oil paint.
the electrical is now finally done
(they had to run it over the ceiling so had to wait
until that was up before they could finish)
And the inspector is supposed to come next week.
Prayers appreciated that the electrical is passed so
we don't have to waste more time on that.
the retaining wall put around the garage was finished

They started pouring the electic pole that
will go out by the road. So far we have been
using a temporary wood pole, This one has all
the electrical set in concrete.

Prayers appreciated as we are on the final stretch.
I am so ready to be done, and pray for patience
as the little details now come together to get the
house finished.

Week 18

This week the ceiling guys were back and installing the ceiling.
Lord willing they will be done early next week.
 The walls are getting primed
 and electrical is being continued
now that most of the ceiling is done.

The rest of the garage was poured this week.
and a retaining wall was started (and just about finished I
just forgot to get an updated picture) around the garage.

We are so close.... but there is so much to do yet.... we are
on the home stretch!

Prayers for Sweet P:
This week we found out that we won't be getting Sweet P
back like we had originally thought/planned. Becuase
she was placed in a long term 'home' while we were in
the states, and Because we are a temporary home. She
can not be put back into temporary care after she
has already been moved into long term care. It makes
sense. We are here to help with overflow and for short term,
But it still would have been nice to get her back.
Prayers for sweet P and her bio family that she can
be returned quickly to they would be appreciated.
Thanks.

While in the States...

I was so very thankful for the faithful few that were willing to be
another set of eyes and hands as we scoured every store clearance
rack we came across for baby cloths while I was in the states.
With the coming and going of babies so quickly this past summer
and fall it was obvious that a lot more was needed for En Gedi.
Especially if we were going to be able to send a few things home
with each kid.
Between a good sister, friends and mom who helped me shop, and a
kind garage saleing Aunt who were cleaning out closets and donated
bags full of baby things to En Gedi, I am thankful to say we have
a very nice "stock" pile that we should be able to pull from for the
next few months as we welcome and send home kids to and from
En Gedi.
What a Beautiful Provider God is!

Week 14-17

The last few weeks while Neiah and I were in the states there were
a few men faithfully working on En Gedi

The ceiling guys started framing up the ceiling
The rest of the windows, and window grates were installed.
All the door frames were ripped out, and resized to fit 'normal' doors.
The porch was paved with concrete
 The porch grate was added.
The garage has been 3/4 poured with concrete.
The footers have been dug and poured and steele added for the retaining
wall that will go around the garage.
A big ditch has been dug from the garage.
I am assuming its to put a drain pipe from the gutters,
but I honestly have no idea. Maybe its for electrical?
I will find out next week.
The side of the house with all the new added windows.
The septic is all in, and the back of the house cleaned up.
An updated front view of the house.

So thankful for all that was accomplished while we were away.

An update on Sweet P. She was able to stay with our friends
at New Hope while we were in the states. We left with the
understanding that she would come back with us when we
got back. Now things have possibly changed and I don't know
if she will come back, or if a new baby will be placed with us.
A Praise:
This past month Sweet P's bio mom came forward and wants
to get her back. CDA informed me that at this time her life's
situation doesn't make that possible, but CDA will be working with
her to help her get back Patrona. Please be prayerful for the Bio Mom
that she is able to meet all CDA's requirements so that Sweet P
can be reunited with her mom and start bonding with her.
Thanks
Blessings
